We provide waste recycling in Leeds, in addition to skip hire, recycled aggregates, topsoil and bulk excavation.

Starting life in civil engineering, before diversifying in the early 90s, T Shea Ltd is a family run business. Personable and friendly, we aim to work with customers to understand their needs, before delivering a cost-effective and flexible service.

Recycling in Leeds

We established our first waste transfer site at Stourton in 1994, taking construction and demolition waste from companies across Leeds, and turning it into recycled aggregates. Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength and in 1999, we moved to our current premises at Cross Green, where we added a skip hire arm to the business.

We have built our reputation by providing high-quality waste management to both commercial and domestic customers and by treating waste of all different types in a sustainable, environmentally friendly manner.

Today, we operate a modern, fully licensed 5½ acre waste disposal facility, which provides efficient waste disposal and recycling for the domestic, commercial/industrial and construction industry across Leeds and West Yorkshire.

Wherever possible, we aim to transform materials brought to this purpose-built facility into reusable products and recycled aggregates. In addition, we also operate an advanced waste-sorting bay, where we segregate materials and send them to other plants for recycling.

All this means that only a tiny fraction of the waste we receive is ever sent to landfill.

We hold numerous industry accreditations, including a full waste management license (including both inert and bio-degradable waste), as well as HGV operators' licenses for all our vehicles.

Our recycled aggregates are produced to the Specification for Highway Works, and tested by an external laboratory to ensure that they are of the absolute highest quality. In addition, we also adhere to the WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme) Quality Protocol.
